An iconic feature of the Minneapolis skyline since 1926, the Basilica of St. Mary is the first Basilica established in the United States. Locals also know it as the site of the annual Basilica Block Party weekend music festival - a "must see" event of the Twin Cities. It's also where my son Alex was confirmed last night, renewing his baptism promises. The Rite confirms my son a young man, a significant moment in his life not lost on his father.

  1. Mike: I love both the photo (beautiful) and your commentary. Informative, yet personal. You have a way with that when you write!
